Welcome back Blue Jays! As we begin the Fall 2024 semester, the Visual Resources Collection is up and running as usual, ready to accommodate any and all of your image needs.
Johns Hopkins Digital Collections are in JSTOR! From research projects to lecture slideshows, there are millions of images available to download for a variety of academic purposes. Be sure to check out JHU’s JSTOR landing page to see just how expansive our collections are!
If you are just browsing, we recommend these collection highlights:
- Chinese Public Health Campaign Slides 1950s-70s: These slides include several public health topics, such as tuberculosis and malaria, as part of a larger educational campaign during the 1950’s, 60s, and 70s in China.
- Rare Books of the George Peabody Library: In collaboration with the Johns Hopkins George Peabody Library, this online collection contains digital scans of the rarer books that form a portion of Special Collections.
- Papyri Collection, from Oxyrhynchus and Fayum: This collection includes 70 papyrus fragments collected in the early 1900’s, and include a variety of legal documents, along with sections of the “Iliad” and “Odyssey.”
