Film ReelAugust marked a momentous occasion for the AV Center. On the 27th, MSEL purchased our 3000th DVD! Yep, that’s right. If I could have had a party for a DVD, I would have. DVD 3000 is a 5 disk collection of film noir movies produced between 1945 and 1950 — a great addition to Eisenhower’s holdings.

For you newbies out there, MSEL has an ever-growing collection of DVDs and VHS tapes available for check out from the AV Center, on A-Level of Eisenhower, and every first Friday of the month, I blog about what’s new in the AV Center and include a list of recent acquisitions, with their call numbers.

Check out the (long) list of new DVDs after the jump, or remember you can always browse the catalog by call number for the newest additions to the collection.

    Leigh Anne responds …

Great question, A Sophomore. Yes, we welcome requests for new acquisitions, whether you’re requesting a book, journal, or movie. We’ve even created a web form, http://www.library.jhu.edu/services/forms/purchase.html , to make the whole request process easier. Just fill it out and click send. It’s that easy. Thanks for reading!
