If you log in to when using Catalyst to search the library catalog, there are several features that unlock! Not only can you access a wider range of articles and request books, but you can use the My Favorites features to manage groups of items related to your papers or projects.

Saving Favorites

Favorites can be items or search queries.

  • Select the pushpin icon to add an item from a list of search results into your My Favorites list. Log in to save your favorites for next time.
  • You can also add an item to your favorites by selecting the pushpin icon in the top right of the Item Full Display view, when you have selected an item from the search results.
  • While logged in, you can select “Save Query” above the list of search results to save your search. Sign up for notifications about new items that appear in those search results over time to track new publications on your favorite topics.

Using Favorites

Export lists of citations or get notifications of new items related to your saved searches.

  • In the favorites section, you can view saved items, saved queries, and your recent search history.
  • You can add labels to items to group them. Consider using labels to group together papers for specific research papers or projects. Add the labels to each item individually or to groups of items by selecting multiples.
  • Select one or multiple items by checking boxes on the left, then you can export citations or email the list of items.
