The Gift Shop at Homewood Museum in November 2022

The gift shops at Homewood Museum and Evergreen Museum & Library are great destinations for holiday shopping! And this weekend, during the museums’ respective open houses, JHU faculty, staff, and students will receive 10 percent off all purchases while JHU Museums members will receive 20 percent off.

Both shops have undergone recent refreshes, jettisoning old stock, adding new products and lines from local makers, and reorganizing displays for a more pleasant shopping experience.

New local products/lines include:

The Children's section in Evergreen's Gift ShopIn addition, Evergreen has created a new children’s section with games, puzzles, and books for the young creative in your life. The Evergreen gift shop also carries a limited selection of terrariums, bonsai kits, and plants books in conjunction with the museum’s current exhibition, A History of Houseplants.

As always, both shops carry an assortment of items—from magnets and note cards to prints and tea towels—that celebrate the beauty of Homewood and Evergreen. But the shops also carry non-museum-themed holiday decor, home goods, stationery, accessories, jewelry, and books. Homewood, in particular, carries a selection of titles by distinguished JHU faculty, including historians Martha S. Jones and Francois Furstenberg.

The gift shops at Homewood and Evergreen are open for shopping during regular museum hours, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesdays through Sundays. Please note: Both museums will be closed December 24 through January 2, 2023. More information on visiting the museums can be found at the JHU Museums’ website.
