And if you’d like to peruse the shelves virtually, you can now do that from the comfort of your couch, all thanks to Catalyst! In the search box, type “McNaughton Plan,” then select “Numbers” from the drop-down. By default, you’ll get everything comingled, but you can narrow to books or DVDs by specifying format on the left panel.

Who will top 2012? We’ve picked a few of our new favorites in the latest edition of Lav Notes. What do you think?

  1. Hi Rich,

Thanks very much for your suggestion! I just finished a really enjoyable faux memoir from the McNaughton shelves called “The Tragedy of Arthur” by Arthur Phillips. So many good books, so little time!

    Best,
    Adriane

  2. I will recommend “The Sisters Brothers”, by Patrick deWitt. Quick easy read, however, not light by any means. A western, starring two similar yet very different brothers. It was a finalist for the 2011 Man Booker prize. (Warning – quite violent moments)

  3. Not to be a stickler, but you might want to edit this post and replace “parooze” with the proper spelling “peruse,” unless you are trying to employ some new orthography of which I am not yet aware.

*facepalm* Thanks, Rebecca! All fixed! 🙂
