Starting on June 1, you may notice an absence of some ebooks in our catalog. For over 15 years JH Libraries purchased ebooks from ProQuest’s Ebook Central to provide access to titles from a wide variety of publishers. In February, Clarivate, ProQuest’s parent company, announced it was changing its business model for ebooks from perpetual ownership to subscription-only model.  This business model is not one the JH Libraries will support. While we will continue to have access to the titles we purchased, the bibliographic records for all unowned titles will be removed from Catalyst after May 31, 2025. We have expressed our dissatisfaction to Clarivate and are exploring alternative access models for the content from publishers that we know are important to you and may be affected by this change.
