Get out your confetti and party hats, ’cause this January marks the fifth anniversary of our blog! We’ve just passed 800 entries, and we’re celebrating by taking this show on the road!

Members of the Research Services Department will be attending the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference in Philly this week where we’ll present the poster, Tales from the Trenches: Social Media Use at the Sheridan Libraries. We know many of the higher ed folks in attendance have already forayed into social media for the same reasons we initially did—just because it was there. We’ll be providing guidance on how to take it to the next level, sharing best practices on blogging and lessons from our very active Twitter and Facebook accounts.

So what do the next five years hold for us? Good question—and you’re really the only one who can answer that. Please do drop us a line or comment below and let us know what you’d like to see on any of our platforms. Here are some ideas to get you started: library scavenger hunt, dinner with the dean, trivia night, photo contest…your wish is our command!
