To help promote Open Access Week, we have Open Access t-shirts. They’re bright, they’re cotton, and they let you show the world you think research should be freely accessible to all.

The first 10 people to submit a (true) story about Open Access will receive a t-shirt. Stories can be about:

  • how an Open Access article helped you in your research.
  • why you decided to publish in an Open Access journal.
  • why you edit or review for an Open Access journal.
  • how other researchers were able to find your article because it was Open Access.

Submit your stories to We’ll post them on our Scholarly Communication website. Please tell us if you want us to use your name, or post the story anonymously. We will also have librarians at a table on the Breezeway in the middle of the day Tuesday, Oct. 19th and at a table on Q level of MSEL in the middle of the day Wednesday, Oct. 20th. Stop by and say hello!
