We are currently addressing an environmental situation in the rare book and manuscript closed stacks of the Milton S. Eisenhower Library.  While we address the situation we ask that patrons submit their requests for materials at least 48 hours in advance of their anticipated visit.

As always, we will hold requested material for patrons for at least two weeks after the request is made. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience. This change only affects rare books currently housed at the Eisenhower Library.  Items housed at the George Peabody Library, the John Work Garrett Library at Evergreen Museum & Library, and at the Libraries Services Center (LSC) will be made available under normal service conditions.

Please contact the Rare Books and Manuscripts Department directly by telephone at (410) 516-8348, or e-mail at rarebooks@lists.johnshopkins.edu, to request and/or confirm the availability of specific items.  Additional questions or concerns can be addressed to Liz Mengel, Interim Head of Rare Books and Manuscripts, by telephone (410) 516-0809, or e-mail, emengel@jhu.edu.
