If you love films, Baltimore is definitely the place to be this summer. Hopkins’ own Outdoor Film Series kicks off this evening on the quad in front of Gilman Hall with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. Personally, I’m pumped to catch The Social Network next Friday on the very place where it was filmed!

Looking to break out of the bubble? There are outdoor screenings all around Baltimore, including Little Italy, American Visionary Art Museum, Cross Keys and Fells Point.

When the humidity and mosquitoes finally drive you inside, borrow some movies from our extensive collection. Here are the top 10 most popular DVDs from the McNaughton shelves in the M-level lobby to get you started.

Top Circulated McNaughton DVDs

1. Charlie Wilson’s War
2. The Bank Job
3. No Country for Old Men
4. The Golden Compass
5. American Gangster
6. Definitely, Maybe
7. Step Brothers
8. Persepolis
9. Atonement
10. The Visitor

And don’t forget the AV Center is still open this summer with a vast selection of award winning films and addictive television series (Yes, I’m looking at you, The Wire). What movie are you most looking forward to catching this summer?
