Summer officially starts this weekend, and what better way to kick it off than with the Hopkins Summer Outdoor Films series?

Spend the evening with The Addams Family, an eccentric clan with a taste for the macabre. This Barry Sonnenfeld classic is based on Charles Addams’ quirky cartoon characters, who first debuted in The New Yorker magazine in 1938 and continued to haunt the pages up until the author’s death in 1988.

The film will be screened on the Keyser Quad in front of Gilman Hall on the Homewood Campus (rain location: Shriver Hall Auditorium). Live indie-folk music by Man&Dog starts at 7:30; the movie will begin after sunset.
