The World Bank has announced a new open data initiative that will bring global economic and development data to the Web for the world to use.
This free site provides easy access to statistics and indicators about development—including the latest World Development Indicators, which used to only be available via subscription. The Sheridan Libraries have added a permanent link to this site through our list of databases—see World Bank Data Catalog.
I recommend that you click the “Data Catalog” link within the Data tab (red bar across the top of the page, shown at right) to see the full list of data offerings and the ways in which you can access the collections.
