As of Wednesday, December 30, some of the Library’s secure web pages (such as JScholarship and JHSearch) will have a new certificate. This certificate has not yet been trusted by all internet browsers.
As of Monday, December 28, the fix to this situation for Internet Explorer and Chrome are complete, but other browsers including Firefox, Safari, and Opera are still pending. As a result, you may see a warning when logging onto those pages.
Despite the warning, you can safely trust the certificate and continue to the page.
If you prefer, you can install the certificate on your computer ahead of time to avoid getting the warning:
- Go to http://certs.ipsca.com/Support/hierarchy-ipsca.asp
- Click each of the links “ipsCA global CA Root” and “ipsCA Level 1 CA”
- Choose “Trust this CA to identify Web sites”
