Jewish American Heritage Month

May was proclaimed Jewish American Heritage month in 2006, to recognize the more than 350 years of Jewish contributions to American culture. From music to literature, from statemanship to law, from science to education, Jewish-Americans have enriched our culture and contributed to the rich diversity of our country. They include many, many well-known Americans, from all walks of life, such as:

At Hopkins, the Program in Jewish Studies is the center of teaching and scholarship for the many aspects of Judaic studies: history, literature, language, philosophy, film, politics.
