Calling all bibliophiles! Calling all bibliomaniacs! Heck, calling anyone looking for a good time in lovely Mount Vernon Square (hey — not that type of good time, buddy)! The supreme meeting for all things bookish in Baltimore, also known as the Baltimore Book Festival, is coming up and our beloved George Peabody Library will be open for both the seasoned book lover and rare books librarians in training to enjoy.
The Peabody Library will be co-hosting a variety of events with the Johns Hopkins University Press September 23, 24, and 25. We’ll have talks and book signings with local authors, collection spotlights featuring staff favorites, and rare book-themed coloring books and bookmarks for children of all ages! This slideshow features some of our favorite Peabody books, all of which will be discussed or on display during the festival.
