The Friends of the Libraries invite you to hear alumnus Cortright McMeel read from his newly published novel, Short. McMeel is a 1993 graduate of the Krieger School’s Writing Seminars and holds an MFA from Columbia University’s Writing Program.

Cortright McMeel is a veteran energy trader and commodities broker. His short fiction has appeared in Mississippi Review, Gettysburg Review, and Chicago Quarterly Review, and he was the founding publisher of the award-winning literary magazine Murdaland.

Short is McMeel’s first novel.
