Are you taking a class this intersession?  It’ll be intense – a lot of work in a short period of time!  Save yourself some headaches and go directly to our Subject Research Guides when you first start working on your assignments.

Keep the library in mind when you’re scrounging for sources in any subject, such as Africana Studies, Anthropology, Art History, Biology, Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, Math, Mechanical Engineering, or just about anything else.  We have something for everyone!

Are you in one of the study-abroad programs?  All of our resources are available to you, too (as long as you have Internet access, that is).  No need to feel homesick as you trot around the globe!

Also, if you’re taking one of the B’More courses, keep in mind we have an extensive local history research guide. And don’t forget to explore the Enoch Pratt’s Maryland Department, the Maryland Historical Society, the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, and the website for Baltimore City.  Each is rich with useful local information.

Hey, while we’re on the topic of research tools, how many of you have used our Research Guides?  What did you find most helpful?  How can we improve them?  Let us know your thoughts in the public comments field below, or send confidentially to asklib@jhu.edu.

Have a happy and productive first month of the new year!
